LOVETTSVILLE BUDGET FOR FY 2007
The Lovettsville budget for FY 2007 is approximately $1.2 million.
The funds are split between utilities, $567,000 and operating funds
of $604,000.
Approximagely $4.7 million is projected for Capital Improvements Program. Funds are projected to be used for expansion to the town's wastewater treatment pland and sewer improvements of between $500,000 and $600,000. Other improvements include street lights, sidewalks, design work for new town office and engineering costs.
TOWN CENTER
The council has approved a request for an additional 20,000 square
feet of commerical space. A drive-through bank is also likely to
be approved.
Approval for the grocery store is not likely due to insufficient population to attract grocers to make the investment.
COMMISSIONERS
Two new commissioners take office: Michael Senate and Charlotte Coleman.
ASSISTED LIVING CENTER
Construction on an Assisted Living Center should begin in the near
future on a community of 84 unit duplex project.
Town Center coming soon.

Town Center has been approved and most folks are pleased as punch. Access to shopping will be welcomed by present and future Lovettsville residents.
The Town Center design will include approximately 160 homes in a design including
streets, sidewalks, walking paths. Completion is expected in late 2006 and will include
120,000 square feet of retail space as well as a significant percentage of the land
designated "open space".
Construction on the first homes is underway with new homes offered for sale by
MIchael Harris, Ryan and Craftmark Homes.
